We have owned and loved Labradors for decades, however, we have been involved in AKC conformation (show ring) for the past eight. In that time we have learned and grown in ways we could not have imagined and built lifelong friendships. We are so grateful for the people that make this journey so fun and so thankful for the life lessons we’ve learned. We are living proof that when you share your life with a Labrador the blessings you receive are abundant.

We live in the beautiful Hill Country in Texas on 5 1/2 acres with our children and our furry, four-legged “kids”.

We strive to breed Labradors that will go on to become the most wonderful family companions and believe that both genetics and socialization play huge roles in that. Health and temperament are paramount in our breeding program and we spend countless hours carefully planning each and every litter. Understanding genetics and the role they play has been extremely important to us and we are thrilled to say that our dogs have top notch pedigrees that have and will produce wonderful dogs for generations to come. As we said, that is “part” of the equation. The other part is socialization (puppy rearing).

Our puppies are born in our home (pictured on the left), where they live and receive lots of love and human contact. Our hands are the first to hold them and our family has the special job of showing each puppy, from the second they are born, the love of a human family. The is the first step in nurturing a puppy.

Next comes the second phase. At about five weeks of age puppies, along with their momma, move into the “dog house” (pictured on the right), where they have full run of their own air conditioned space, complete with a doggy door so that they can begin potty training. Here we begin basic crate training and use appropriate obstacles to help stimulate their minds and create challenges. We use Pat Hasting’s Rule of Seven to socialize each and every puppy in hopes that we give each and every puppy the best start to reach their potential and go on to become the most amazing dogs in the world.

Meet the Greens

Starkey is a husband, father and business owner. He was raised on a dairy farm in East Texas where he learned all about the hard work involved with animal husbandry. Now that he is a father himself he is passing on the life lessons he learned to his children, with a bonus. Our dogs our part of our family and are companions to our children.

Stacey is a wife and stay at home mom. She was raised on a ranch surrounded by wildlife and her father taught her to care for animals very early on in life and planted a seed within her that later bloomed into a passion for dogs - which ultimately lead to a life filled with them.

Our most treasured blessings? ….. our seven children.

We discovered early on in our marriage that we make a great team and we have loved seeing how we strengthen one another. We are both competitive by nature and have found a wonderful combination that allows us to have beautiful dogs to share our lives with and compete in the show ring with. We also love that we have something that is “ours” (our kids have lots and lots of activities). We love the challenge that breeding brings because although we know there is no “perfect” dog, we can always strive for better. We love planning litters, studying dogs and pedigrees, travel to shows together and well, just being together … the ribbons are a bonus and at the end of the day we get to come home with the most amazing dogs in the world.

God has richly blessed us and we cannot imagine our lives without our dogs or the lifelong friendships we have built because of them.
